FAQs
How do I know that my child is receiving enough essential fatty acids?
The level of essential fatty acids can be measured in the blood and should be monitored.

Please use our contact form and we will make sure your message is sent to the right staff member, who will follow up to address your specific needs.
If a child requires intravenous lipids, how long do they need to be treated?
No one knows exactly how long children/infants should receive IV lipids. One center has two children who receive peripheral IV infusions of SMOF twice a month. One child is 8 months old and the other child is an adolescent, who will probably receive IV lipids throughout puberty.
